About GRABBA
GRABBA is a territory contest based on closing squares on a grid. Its Party mode lets two to four people share one device, passing the controls to whoever is taking the next turn. Solo play instead places you against three computer opponents. A mouse click or a touch is enough to choose a barrier, making local matches suitable for a shared computer, tablet, or phone.
Completing the four sides of a small square claims it and adds time to your clock. Larger outlines introduce a different threat: finishing the outer boundary around a two by two area steals the four squares inside it, while a three by three boundary can steal nine. Watch the wider board before accepting what appears to be an easy small square.
Only the current participant's timer counts down, so thinking time is a resource as well as territory. A claimed small square adds ten seconds, with the larger steals providing greater bonuses. The stated survival condition is to be the last participant with time remaining. Keep track of unfinished outlines near several colors, and decide whether claiming a square now leaves a larger opportunity for the next player.
Tips to win
- Check nearby large outlines before completing an easy small square.
- Remember that your timer runs only during your own turn.
