About Scuffbury Rovers
Scuffbury Rovers is an arcade football game built around a small village club and short matches. Four players make up each side on the pitch, and the local friendly option allows two people to compete on one screen. Select the two player friendly from the title screen rather than using the solo season controls for both participants.
In the local keyboard mode, player one moves with WASD, kicks with F, and passes or tackles with G. Player two moves with the arrow keys, kicks with L, and passes or tackles with K. Hold the kick button and release to shoot. These bindings differ from the general single player instructions, which list Space and E. The pause controls provide access to rules and assistance settings.
Beyond friendlies, the season includes league fixtures, cup ties, rival clubs, squad progression, and improvements to the home ground. Slopes, short pitches, ponds, weather, and fixture rules can change how a match feels. Read the fixture card and keep an eye on the ball before charging forward. Use passes to create space, and try a controlled shot when an opening appears instead of holding maximum power every time.
Tips to win
- Use the local mode bindings rather than the Space and E solo controls.
- Check the fixture rules and pitch conditions before settling into a passing pattern.
